English Expression Dictionary

Recently I recognized my lack of English conversation skills which are indispensible for my graduate studies in U.S. Therefore I decide to study English expression dictionary* with Sungshin Kim who are ready for a graduate study at Duke university this fall.
Here are today's expressions to practice (Ch.4.1):

1. You need to work out at the gym.
2. Do you work out to keep in shape?
3. He is trying to build up his shoulders.
4. It's time to go on a diet.
5. I'm really overweight for my height.
6. I keep on gaining weight.
7. I'm in the pink.
8. I must be under the weather.
9. I caught a cold last night.
10. I seem to be coming down with a cold.
11. She had been suffering from cancer.
12. The flu is going around the office.
13. You'd better check out his health.
14. He was diagnosed with AIDS.
15. It could be a deadly malignancy.
16. Depression tends to run in families.
17. He was hospitalized.
18. He'll be discharged in a few days.
19. I had to undergo heart bypass surgery.
20. I'm slow in recovering when I catch a cold.
21. He took a sudden turn for the worse.
22. I have a severe pain in my right chest.
23. It will wear off after an hour or so.
24. I've pulled a muscle.
25. I sprained my ankle.
26. My leg went to sleep.
27. Why are your eyes so swollen?
28. She sustained a bad foot injury.
29. My head is killing me.
30. The little girl ran a temperature.
31. I have a sore throat.
32. I sound a little hoarse today.
33. My stomach is all tied in knots.
34. I am suffering from airsickness.
35. I'll prescribe some anti-biotics for you.
36. It doesn't do the trick.
